Stopping and Restarting
Searches
The Stop/Refresh button is located at the upper-left corner of the Meta search window, directly to the left of the search field. While a search is running, the button switches to Stop mode. After a search has finished running, the button switches to Refresh mode.
Clicking on the button in Stop mode stops the current query and displays any results the search has found up to that point. This is useful when a search is either taking too long to complete or is gathering too many results to be practical. Here is an example of a Meta search window with the button in Stop mode:
Clicking on the button in Refresh mode re-runs the previous search. This is useful if some files have changed on your machine and you want the search results to reflect those changes. Here is an example of a Meta search window with the button in Refresh mode:
