Meta application icon Searching By Date

You can tell Meta to show you only files that were used during a certain time period or items with due dates during a certain time period using the date: tag. This is very useful if you know when you last used the file you're looking for.

For example, if you need to find that file you were working on last week, and you remember that it contained the phrase, "more science", you could use a search like this:

date:last week and "more science"

From this search, Meta would show you all the files containing the phrase "more science", and that were last opened some time last week.

You can also be more specific with date-based searches, if you like. By using the due: tag, you can have Meta show you only items that have due dates during the specified time period. So to have Meta show you items that are due this week (such as iCal appointments, etc.), you could use a due tag like this: due:this week.
